Olayan Voltas Honored for Work on Al Bustan Village
Olayan Voltas Contracting Company received the award for “Sustainable GCC Project of the Year” from MEP Middle East magazine, which covers the mechanical, electrical, and plumbing trades. The award was bestowed on Nov. 20 in Dubai.
The award was for work by Olayan Voltas on the utility complex at Al Bustan Village, a brand new residential community north of Riyadh. The community stretches across more than 160 acres and contains 838 residential units, including villas and apartments, as well as a sports and recreation complex, planned hotel, shops, gardens and playgrounds. It is also home to the American International School. The compound opened for residents in April 2013.
Olayan Voltas is a joint venture with Olayan Financing Company. Al Bustan Village is a project of Al-Bustan Company Ltd., a wholly owned subsidiary of Olayan Financing Company that focuses on residential property development and management.
MEP Middle East is a monthly publication that provides news, data, and analyses for the region’s contractors. Every year the magazine hosts an award ceremony honoring companies throughout the region for their work and innovation. This year’s event was held at Fairmont’s The Palm Hotel in Dubai. An independent panel of 12 judges, each a professional from the Middle East construction sector, votes on the winners.
