Olayan Participates in Saudi Career Fair in US

The Olayan Group participated in a very large Saudi Career Fair held on May 24-27 at the Gaylord National Resort & Convention Center on the Potomac River south of Washington, DC. Approximately 7,000 fresh Saudi graduates attended the event, which included a graduation ceremony, on-site job interviews, workshops, and panel discussions.

The annual event is sponsored by the Saudi Arabian Cultural Mission to the US (SACM).

Representatives from The Olayan Group spoke with more than 1,000 individual job-seekers about career opportunities with the Group in Saudi Arabia, both at corporate headquarters in Riyadh and among the diverse array of Olayan-affiliated operating companies and joint ventures across the kingdom.

Most of the students have been studying in the United States and Canada through the King Abdullah Foreign Scholarship Program, which has funded the education of almost 80,000 Saudi undergraduate and graduate students in colleges and universities. Their degrees span many disciplines, including engineering, management, economics, finance, and marketing as well as the liberal arts.

Representatives from Saudi government ministries, universities, and private companies attended the fair in hopes of attracting top talent.
